Will your cards fit my game?
Our metal cards are 63×88mm — the standard trading card size — so they fit standard sleeves, deck boxes, and command-zone-style play areas. Counters and trackers are game-agnostic: they count numbers, and every game has numbers.
Are these official products?
No, and we never pretend otherwise. Ghost Layer Studios is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher. Everything we sell is our own original design work, described by size and function.
Do you use AI art?
Yes, openly. Our designs start AI-assisted and get finished by hand — compositions adjusted, layers separated for etching, details reworked where the machines demand it. Every listing that uses an AI-assisted design says so, because you deserve to know what you're buying. We never prompt for official art, published characters, or another artist's style, and a fully hand-drawn premium tier is on the roadmap.
Can you print a copy of a real card, or its official art?
No. We don't reproduce official card art, frames, logos, or published characters — not on new pieces and not on alters. What we will do is design original art for the role your card plays, which ends up better anyway: nobody else has it.
Can I play with a metal card?
They're built as display and command-zone pieces for cards that don't get shuffled. Casual tables generally love them; sanctioned events require authentic cards, so check your event's rules.
How do alters work?
You send us your genuine card, we agree on a direction, and you approve a digital proof before any work begins. The card comes back altered, via tracked and insured shipping. Alteration is permanent, and altered cards may not be tournament-legal — check with your event.
How long until my order ships?
Stocked items (tokens, stickers, small goods) ship in 1–2 business days. Made-to-order pieces (metal cards, dials, trackers) ship in 3–5. Alters take 2–3 weeks from when your card arrives, because proofs and hand-work take the time they take.
What about returns?
Stocked items: 30 days, unused. Made-to-order and personalized pieces can't be restocked, so they're covered for defects — if something's wrong, photos within 14 days of delivery and we remake or refund. Alters are covered by the proof process.
Do you ship outside the US?
Not at launch — US only while we get the production rhythm right. Join the mailing list and you'll hear when that changes.
